Pickleball POKER Charity Event - Proceeds benefit the Youth Musical Arts Academy of North Port)
Play pickleball to raise money for the Youth Musical Arts Academy of North Port!

This event will use a Pickleball Poker format. Players register individually and will be randomly paired with a new partner each round. After every round, winners draw a playing card. At the end of the tournament, the best five-card poker hands win.

Every game counts, every card draw matters, and anyone can end up with a winning hand!

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top poker hands.

Registration: $35 per player

Your registration secures your spot in the tournament. Space is limited, so register early.

Lunch Available – Pre-Order Only

Enjoy BBQ from Dubz Barbeque for $30 per person. Lunch includes your choice of pork or chicken, mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and salad. Lunches may be ordered for players, friends, and family.

Tuesday Volleyball League (4/21/26 - 5/26/26)
Think you’ve got game? This 6-week league is for players who can bump, set, and spike without breaking a sweat—or at least make it look that way.

We’re talkin’ fast rallies, strategic plays, and some serious hustle. Beginners are welcome (we love the enthusiasm!), but the competition’s tough, the serves are spicy, and the net doesn’t forgive. So dive in, and get ready to PLAY hard and laugh harder.

Tuesday evenings beginning April 21st at 6:15pm

Wednesday Pickleball League (4/29/26 - 6/3/26)
This ain’t your grandma’s backyard paddle party (though she'd probably crush it). Our 6-week pickleball league brings the heat with fast volleys, sharp angles, and quick feet.

Geared toward intermediate to advanced players who know their kitchen rules and live for a good rally. Beginners can join too—but be ready to level up fast, because the dinks are precise and the smashes are no joke.

Bring your paddle, bring your game face, and let’s have some fun on the court!

Friday Nights = Cornhole Nights at Team Doogie!

Looking for a fun, low-pressure way to kick off your weekend? Our Friday Night Cornhole League is all about laughs, great vibes, and classic Team Doogie energy. No stress. No tryouts. Just good people, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun.

New to cornhole? You’re already qualified. Cornhole is a simple, social lawn game where players take turns tossing bean bags toward a raised board with a hole in it. Bags on the board score points, bags in the hole score big. Easy to learn, surprisingly addicting, and perfect for all skill levels.

Seasoned tossers, first-timers, and everyone in between will feel right at home. Expect music, high-fives, laughs between throws, and that unmistakable Fun First. Win Later. atmosphere.

Come for the cornhole. Stay for the people.

Weekly Drop-In Events

Monday Blind Draw VOLLEYBALL in Port Charlotte (6pm - Weekly)
Our random draw tournaments are perfect for players of all levels who love the thrill of the game and meeting new friends.

Teams will be assigned based on skill level before the tournament starts. This means you’ll get to meet and play with different people, making it a fantastic way to socialize and have fun! Each team will have a chance to keep playing, even if they lose a match! The tournament is set up so that teams are eliminated only after their second loss. Each match is played to 25 points, and teams must win by 2 points. So, get ready for some intense rallies and teamwork!

We play each Monday at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte. The cost is $5 (cash) per person and winners get free entry their next visit! Registration starts at 6pm and goes until 6:30. Teams of 3 or 4 will be assigned and announced. Then the tournament will start!

Tuesday Beginner PICKLEBALL Blind Draw in Port Charlotte (6pm - Weekly)
In 2026, we’re offering Beginner Pickleball, created for anyone looking for a fun, low-pressure way to learn the game and meet great people!

This is pickleball at its most welcoming. We’ll cover the basics, rotate partners, keep things moving, and focus on learning while having a whole lot of fun. Missed shots are expected. Laughing is required. High-fives are encouraged.

📍 Location: Franz Ross Park, Port Charlotte. Behind the tennis court
⏰ Start Time: Arrive between 6-6:15pm. We'll start at 6:30

Come solo or bring a friend. You’ll leave with new skills, new connections, and probably a few inside jokes.

Thursday 2's & 3's VOLLEYBALL in Port Charlotte (6pm - Weekly)
Thursday nights just leveled up!

We’re bringing a brand new volleyball option to the lineup, and this one is built for players who want a little more action, a little more strategy, and a few more touches on the ball… without losing the fun-first vibe that makes Team Doogie what it is.

This isn’t your typical blind-draw night.

We’re switching things up with smaller teams (2’s & 3’s), which means faster games, more involvement, and more chances to actually play the ball instead of just watching it fly over your head. It’s a great fit for intermediate to advanced players who are ready for a slightly more competitive pace, but still want a relaxed, social atmosphere.

And the best part… you’ve got options.

Want to show up solo and meet new people? Jump into the $5 blind-draw and we’ll handle the teams.

Got a partner or a small squad you want to run with? Lock it in for $10 per person and play together all night.

Same community. Same laughs. Just a new twist on the game.
